A 19km de Pointe-à-Pitre, facilement accessible par la voie rapide, Goyave s'étend le long du Petit Cul de Sac Marin et de la Petite Rivière à Goyaves, dont elle tient son nom. Village d'environ 5000 habitants, à vocation agricole, il est entouré de vastes champs de canne et de bananeraies. Plusieurs traces vous permettront de découvrir de très beaux sites en forêt tropicale, mais vous pourrez également profiter de la plage.

A visiter:
Les Chutes de Moreau: sentier traversant plusieurs fois la rivière en forêt tropicale dense. Accès par Douville, marche de difficulté moyenne de 2h30 aller, en passant par la petite cascade de la ravine Mangle. Baignade dans le bassin possible.
Jardin d'eau de Blonzac: élevage de ouassous, activités de loisirs sur étangs et rivières.

19km von Pointe-à-Pitre, leicht über die Schnellstrasse zu erreichen, erstreckt sich Goyave entlang des Petit Cul de Sac Marin und der Petite Rivière à Goyaves, nachdem es benannt wurde. Der landwirtschaftliche Ort mit ca. 5000 Einwohnern liegt inmitten grosser Zuckerrohrfelder und Bananenplantagen. Auf mehreren Wanderwegen können Sie interessante Ausflüge in den Regenwald unternehmen, aber auch den Badefreuden am Strand nachgehen.
Zu besichtigen:
Die Moreau Wasserfälle: der Weg überquert mehrmals den Fluss im tiefen Regenwald. Anfahrt über Douville, Wanderung mittleren Schwierigkeits-grades 2:30 (Hin), vorbei an dem kleinen Wasserfall des Baches Mangle. Bad im Auffangbecken möglich.
Jardin d'eau de Blonzac (Wasserpark): Aufzucht von Ouassous (Krebse), Freizeitaktivitäten auf Teichen und Bächen.
Habtitation Bois Debout, ehemaliges Pflanzerhaus, wo Saint John Perse lebte.

At a 19kms distance from Pointe-à-Pitre, easily accessible by the highway, Goyave stretches out along the coast of Petit Cul de Sac Marin and the banks of Petite Rivière à Goyaves, from which it takes her name. This agricultural village of about 5000 inhabitants is surrounded by huge sugarcane fields and banana plantations. Several trails will lead you into the rain forest for unforgettable hiking tours, but you also can enjoy the beach.
To visit:
Moreau waterfalls: trail in the deep rain forest, crossing several times the bed of the river. Access after Douville, the trail is of medium difficulty and takes you to the bottom of the falls, after a short stop at the cascade of the river Mangles, in about 2h30. A swim in the waterfall basin is possible.
Jardin d'eau de Blonzac (Waterpark): breeding of ouassous (crayfish), leisure activities on ponds and rivers.
Habtitation Bois Debout: former planter's house where used to live Saint John Perse.
