You're travelling with your laptop computer, PC with Win95 or Win98, which you already use for Internet access.
You have to get Internet connection to access your Mailbox or to surf - you can do it with a LOCAL NUMBER.
ANTILLES-NET is the solution !Our server allows connection by the "kiosque micro" of French Telecom at 0.71 FF before taxes per minute (all over Metropolitan France and in all French Overseas Departments).
All you have to do is to create a new connection on your computer.A new icon "GUADELOUPE" has been created in your window "Network access"
- Click on WORKSTATION
- Click on NETWORK ACCESS
- Click on NEW CONNECTION
- Choose a name (for example: "GUADELOUPE")
- In the pop-up menu, select your modem
- Click on CONFIGURE
- Choose OPTION
- Notch the option "activate the terminal window after having dialed the number"
- Click on OK
- Click on NEXT
- Telephone number: 0836011515
Ask at the reception desk if you have to dial a code to acces the public telephone network (often 0 or 9).
If there is a code to dial, the entire number could be for example: 00836011515- Country code in the pop-up menu: GUADELOUPE (590)
- Click on NEXT
- Click on FINISH
Click on it with you RIGHT mouse button.
Click on CREATE A SHORTCUT
An alert window will tell you:
Shortcut creation impossible. Do you want to place it on your desktop ?
Click on YESClose the window "Network access"
Close the window "Workstation"
YOU'RE READY TO GET CONNECTED !!! Click on the icon (on your desktop) SHORTCUT FOR GUADELOUPE
Click on CONNECT (do not fill in anything in the form !)After dial-up a black window pops up
After a few seconds, the line: 9{….Ser? appears
Write ilesnet then validate with the ENTER key
Several caracters will appear
Click on CONTINUE or hit the F7 keyYou're connected to Internet….. Good Surf !!
To continue with your usual E-Mail address, just change in the mail options of your E-Mail software "outgoing mail server" (SMTP)" to: www.softel.fr
